ROUND MALTA TOUR Our full day tour Round Malta will begin at the bottom of Valletta, by the bastions that surround this historic city built by the Knights of St. John in the time of Grandmaster La Vallette. The Seige Bell Memorial was inaugurated in 1992 by Queen Elizabeth. It is a monument to those that died during World War II. The view of the Grand Harbour below is well worth seeing. We leave Valletta and drive to the south of the island to the colourful fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Here we have some time to roam the market and enjoy the scenery. Carrying on along the southwest coast we make a stop at the impressive Dingli cliffs which drop 200m to the blue Mediterranean sea. Coming up the south west coast we cross to the east coast to Mellieha Bay - a sandy bay, and have some time at leisure to enjoy the sea-side. From here we proceed to the ancient capital of Mdina for a walk-through to the bastions. And lastly we visit the Mosta church famous for its dome and its place in Malta's story. |
